Ermias Eshetu is currently the CEO of Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX). Ermias has over 20 years of leadership and technical experience working for global and local companies including IBM, Micro Strategy, and Zemen Bank. We will be discussing the importance of technology in developing nations and how it enables economic growth. He will also tell us how ECX’s online trade system (the first of its kind in Ethiopia) that was developed by the organization’s own technology professionals is catalyzing the growth of the agricultural sector and also empowering Ethiopian farmers.
